What is the weather like in November and December? Does it get cold enough to freeze?

We've seen it in the upper 20's to low 30's around Thanksgiving.  Maybe Kate and Terry will chime in.  They've spent a fair amount of time over there.

Yes, it gets cold enough to freeze...that's true of just about anyplace in New Mexico.  November should probably be nice, but it will start getting cold in December.
The year that we bought an annual camping permit in New Mexico, it was our intention of spending the winter there...we lasted until the end of December and hightailed it out of the state to someplace warmer!
I know Kate & Terry and Andy spend the winters in NM, but it's too cold for us!

Yes. See

for climate info. (I found this by doing a Google search for 'bosque del apache climate', a technique that works for just about anywhere you might want to go. :-)

Yup. Winters in southern New Mexico aren't as balmy as in southern Arizona or Florida, but they can be quite tolerable if you pick sites in the southern part of the state and at low altitude.
Probably the warmest area in NM is the southwestern part of the state. Pancho Villa State Park is the southernmost park in the state park system, located about three miles from the Mexican border. Average low temperatures there just barely touch the freezing mark in late December and early January, but average highs in the same period are around 60, so the days aren't freezing by any means.
I boondock much of the year, but in winter I seek out a campsite with hookups at a state park, so that I can heat my rig with a couple of small electric heaters instead of using propane. With my New Mexico Annual Camping Pass, a water/electric site only costs me $4 a night, so the expense is minimal.
I love winter in this state, because the state parks are very sparsely populated, and many of them go off the reservation system (so it's first come, first served, which I prefer)... so I get my pick of gorgeous, scenic sites!
Here's a page that lists climate information for more than 150 cities in New Mexico, with links to individual city climate pages:

We've spent the last couple of winters at the Bosque, and plan on doing so again this year.  I'm assuming you're planning on staying at the Birdwatchers RV Park?  It's the closest to the Bosque and pretty reasonable.  It sometimes does get down to freezing at night but has always warmed up in the day.  We've had no problems with the freezing in the rig.

Hope we can see you there this winter!
