We are in a scenic free CG near Silverton, CO, in a light rain.

Rain, however, does not dampen a hummingbirds interest in feeding.
I have a stick clamped to the ladder and the feeder hung from the stick. The 'little darlings" are less than six inches from the rear window. We have Black Throated, Broad Tailed and Rufus varieties.
[Our bird guide says the Rufus does not live in these parts]
Our enjoyment and amusement watching these birds is all Kate's fault.
Thanks Kate. We get a lot of fun from a cup of sugar.

Cheers, Don & Dorothy

Don and Dorothy.
While I'm sure the stick works fine, we use feeders that stick to the windows with suction cups.  $10. a piece at Ace Hardware.
I agree that hummingbirds give the best entertainment for the $.  I don't know if it's the red of the rig or what, but they come up to us even when we don't have the feeders out.

Right now we have about two dozen swarming for their morning feed.

Life is indeed very good.

No, but Colorado is a flyway on their trip to and from their wintering place(s).  We saw literally dozens of them when we were camping at a USFS campground just west of Creede, CO...the camp hosts had several feeders out and there were Rufus' at each feeding station plus dozens more flying overhead, much like airplanes waiting to land!
