Does anyone know the thickness of the floor including the vinyl flooring and undercarriage sheetmetal.

Malcolm,
Sorry, not exactly. I know it's a good inch and a bit, as the floor has a top plywood layer, then foam before you get to the bottom which is, I think a thin layer of plywood with the sheet metal under. Guessing 1.5 inches or more total.
It's real important to know exactly where the drill is going to come out (g). One way to do this is to measure from an existing through-the-floor thing, like a wiring bundle or propane line etc.

Thanks Bumper.  You confirmed my suspicion.  Now to measure and remeasure. And check that refrigerator hinge.

If you can get easy access to both ends of a seat-belt anchor, measure the protruding amount below the floor, then remove it to measure the difference.
