I read few travel blogs, but I do appreciate and follow along with those which are updated frequently and offer a distinctive point of view and/or out-of-the-ordinary content, including photos of unique places, experiences, or attractions; if a blog reaches beyond the bare factual reporting in the "I went here, I did this" style, I'm interested!  If you haven't already, do take a look at Lorna Dunham's blog; the posts are enjoyable reads and the photos are fun and of people, places, and objects that I would probably never *think* to take pictures of!

Aww shucks Joan, thanks!  I'm glad to know someone's following along.  Blogging has been a learn-as-you-go experience, but a whole heck of a lot of fun!  Hope I can keep it up for another six months without repetitive boring stuff.  Guess I'd better keep moving!!!

I go along with jctaylor's post.  I immediately went to your blog, Lorna and was delighted spending hours going back and reading about your travels.  Your pictures are outstanding and so enjoyable.  Many thanks for sharing!

And I forgot to mention how much I've appreciated all the Gulf/ Florida information folks on this board gave me while I prepared for this trip.  Ed, Ted, Don, Sandra, Tina, Dorothy come to mind immediately.  Florida is my vacation spot; I'll be here at least a month so the blog may slow down a bit -- how many photos can one take of white sand, blue skies, pink sunsets, turquoise water???!!!!
Anyway, thanks to all of you.  And Ed, I hope someday you consolidate all your Florida experiences and advice and post it in the files section here.  Ditto Ted with all the campground details you have put together....fabulous resources all of you.
And Nate Walker, if you're tuned in and if you've read the blog, you know how much I appreciated knowing about Doe's Eat Place in Greenville.  A wonderful meal, a wonderful experience -- thank you!

I, too, am following Lorna's blog with great interest . . . AND sending its URL to a friend on an almost-daily basis.  Very inspirational, Lorna.  ;->

Sheesh Judie, thanks.  I'm getting a swollen head now.  Not quite a headache yet though!!!!  Be forewarned, however, I am loafing for the month of May on as many Florida beaches as will have me, so posts may slow down a bit!  I'm taking lots of sky pictures -- skies here are almost as lovely as Kate's New Mexico skies.  Only I don't get up at daybreak like she does!!!!

Thanks again for the boost!

You are doing stellar work out there and you should be very proud.  I don't know how you are getting all those pics without a toad.  Reading your blog has become our quotidian ritual and look forward to your postings of white sand, blue skies, pink sunsets, turquoise water, humidity.  Oops, how did that last one get in there.
