It's on our Top 10 list, being a canoe and kayak paradise. The park is on the eastern end of the island, a 30-40 minute drive from the ferry terminal; locate in the island's interior. Moran is a beautiful park with campgrounds located on two fresh water lakes. On a clear day, the views from Mt. Constitution, the Park's highest point, are outstanding with the mainland, several cities, surrounding islands and Canada all visible. There are enough hiking trails to keep you busy for days. Reservations are must during the summer, with the weekends being the busiest. Off-season, you will have most of the park and island to yourself. We were there two weeks after Labor Day and much of the island was shutting down for the season. Many of the campsites are too small or hilly for a MH so keep that in mind. Camping is also available at the opposite side of the island at the West Beach Resort.Larry
