Tough times in L.A. January 22, 2009, 02:07:20 pm Yahoo Message Number: 98743As a sign of the times in the greater Los Angeles area, a City Councilman has proposed setting aside designated zones for people who are living in their RV's to park on a permanent or semi-permanent basis.A picture featured in today's L.A. Times shows RV's parked on the street in Venice, CA. The vintage of the vehicles appear to be 70's and 80's. some showing tarps on the roof to protect from today's rare rain storm.Lots better than park benches, sez I, but still a sad story.Anne JohnsonLovely (well, wet) La Verne, CA

Can you imagine living in a tent in the rainy Pacific Northwest? Probably better than Sheriff Joe's 'tent city' in Phoenix - at least you can leave if you care to.Glen in AZ w/SOB[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
