Camping in the snow December 16, 2008, 08:32:43 pm Yahoo Message Number: 97959Since everyone has been discussing taking your Lazy Daze to the snow, I thought I'd mention that we've been in snowy conditions since Sunday. We also had several days of snow last week. And when we haven't had snow, it's been quite cold. The current storm is supposed to continue till the weekend. We started using one electric heater, with an occasional assist from the propane. We considered using the cat heater, but had some concerns about the altitude (we're in Santa Fe) and we wanted something that would work at night, since it's so cold.When we were using just one small heater, it kept the rig around 60 degrees, but it seemed like the cold was kind of pervasive. Then we hooked into two separate 20 amp circuits and now we're running two small electric heaters. This keeps the rig right around 70 degrees. We also have our electric valve heaters turned on.
