My 2005 MB sky light is cracked and needs to be replace.

know if a 3m tint or other product would prolong the cracking problem that some have?

I have replaced our sky light on our 2005 MB.  It is fairly simply to do.  Basically, you remove the screws holding itand put on the new one then put the screws back in.  I had to drill some additional holes in the plastic cover to replace all the screws that LD used.  Good Luck!
