How he got my number is a mystery to me. He might have Google'd my name and got it? He was livid that his coach has been characterized in our group as one that you "should run away from." He accused me personally of being irresponsible for posting the results of my inspection.I informed him that I have never ever been to the State of Washington, nor have I seen his coach for sale. He said my name was plastered all over the Internet as having done the inspection. I checked my messages and couldn't find any that I posted as having been the inspecting party. I don't know if someone could have copied and pasted my name to the story. He claims the coach's mileage is accurate and there is no rain damage. I offered that it was one person's opinion (not mine) of their inspection and reminded him of the right of free speech. He said that he had purchased the LD from a used Honda dealer which someone had traded in. He started getting abrasive on the phone so I hung up on the poor minded soul. MAYBE THE COACH MIGHT BE OKAY, BUT CERTAINLY THE SELLER IS NOT ONE THAT I WOULD EVER PURCHASE FROM. HE HAS ISSUES. I have my LD already anyway, but I thought I would pass the information about this guy to the group in the event that they get contacted.If his coach was that sound and priced right, he would have sold it already IMHO. He can "clear" the rig by hiring an independent inspector or inviting others to do so. If problems exist, a new price or a fix can be negotiated - just like with the sale of a home. With the high risk of the "caveat emptor" principle, it's nice to have this group to share knowledge. "Keeping them honest" as we say. Sorry you had such a negative experience and had to "take one" for the group.
