Wardrobe table holder November 10, 2007, 12:29:11 am Yahoo Message Number: 85758A few months ago, I purchased a folding table at Costco and sort of stuck it in the wardrobe with things leaned against it to keep it from rattling around. I got around to making a holder for it today, but Yahoo won't let me add the photo to the Yonder album, telling me I don't have that priviledge. On my MB, the table is held in place at the back wall of the wardrobe with a wood cleat screwed through the wardrobe floor into two existing cleats under, one over each drawer 15" apart. A cleat with bungee cord is mounted to the forward wall. This cleat keeps the top of the table secured and the bungee cord is stretched and hooked to the rear of the table to keep it forward. The picture would make this a lot easier understand (g).bumper Yonder

Re: Wardrobe table holder Reply #2 – November 10, 2007, 11:24:36 am Yahoo Message Number: 85769Some addtional info on the table holder When fastening the cleat to the bottom of the wardrobe, one could use double stick tape or even glue (think a small amount of gorilla glue). I wanted the ability to change things later if need be so opted for screws. Be careful to space screws to line up with existing supports under wardrobe floor that are centered on drawers. For the side cleat / bungee attach, I started to drill the holes from inside the wardrobe forward, thinking the paneling was thin there and that I would use pan head sheet metal screws as wood screws to come in from the pantry side. As soon as I started drilling I realized I was hitting something more substantial, so was able to drill the cleat and use screws to fasten from the inside of the wardrobe the same as bottom cleat. Bungee is attached through hole in cleat and backside is recessed with paddle bit to accommodate knot in bungee. Bungee could be eliminated using end stop cleat at rear edge of table on wardrobe floor. Then to remove table simply tilt back at top and swing top out. A small piece of weather strip foam can be fixed to rear wardrobe wall to eliminate any rattle tendancy.all the best,bumper[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
