water in outside front compartment drivers side May 03, 2006, 11:24:22 am Yahoo Message Number: 6630626.5 MB 2001: We have water collecting in the front storage compartment drivers side. This is below the exhaust for the frige. No evidence of leakage in exhaust compartment or roof. Water droplets in compartment suggests condensation...all surfaces have droplets. What to do? No water evidence on outside of compartment. Enough water collects on the bottom to run into all the channels of the compartment. We will dry out compartment and check again after rain to try to see if the access door is the problem; no evidence of leakage yet. Thanks for any help. Lee

I've experienced water in the channels before and found the distilled water bottle had a pin hole in it. While this wouldn't explain the water droplets, it would explain the water in the channels. Just a thought.John K 26.5 MB 2001: We have water collecting in the front storage Quotecompartment drivers side. This is below the exhaust for the frige. Steve at LD told me to wipe the condensation down and allow the compartment to dry with the door open for a couple of days. Simply wiping the compartment walls will not sufficiently reduce the moisture. If you are experiencing rain, high humidity and are not able to keep the compartment door open for an extended time you might try Damp Rid.Malcolm Blue 02 MB

I don't know if the two were connected, because the firewall leak mostly showed up on the floor under the drivers feet, but after the firewall leak was finally fixed, I never noticed any more water in that outside compartment....I am speaking about the compartment that the fresh water drain exits through.Bonnie JacobsRed, 01 MBQuote 26.5 MB 2001: We have water collecting in the front storage compartment drivers side.
