It was our honor and privilege to spend the past 3 days with Mike and Lisa Sylvester, The RV Guy (and Gal)!  They installed several enhancements to our 2003 26'RB LD, one of which was the US Gear Braking System.  Mike and Lisa were recommended by many of you, but we'd particularly like to thank Mike Schafir who steered us to the Sylvesters and through the tow set-up process.

Mike and Lisa also changed out a troublesome propane regulator.
While doing so, we decided it would be a good time to install a "Stay-a-While" which gives us the ability to attach our BBQ to the coach propane system.  They also installed a new water purification system, something we have wanted ever since we brought Big Red home.

We were so impressed with the work done by this dynamic duo that we felt compelled to also highly recommend them to any of you looking for maintenance, repair or installation work.  We were very impressed with their professionalism, their attention to detail and the strong emphasis on safety.  We devoured all the education, tips, and suggestions they continually shared with us.

After all the work was completed and it was time for some R&R, we shared a delicious dinner at Wool Growers, a Basque restaurant in Bakersfield (CA) -- another recommendation for you!
Mike and Lisa were headed to AZ for a month of real R&R, but here is their website:  www dot thervguynm dot com .

Patti and Richard - glad to hear that you got wheels with top of the line auxiliary brakes, and also had such a great time with Mike and Lisa. Aren't you just about 10 years RV-smarter because of having them around for 3 days? What teachers they are!

I've come to just have a running 'Mike Sylvester' list. Anytime I have something I want installed, fixed, tweaked, I email Mike - we talk about it a bit, and we both put it on our list. That way, the next time we set up an appointment, it's all ready to go. My hunch is that the next time would be this October, at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. That's when he does our annual maintenance stuff. I haven't asked them if they can be there, but in 2 years, they've become as much a part of the experience as the balloons.

See you guys at the Escapades in Chico? Or at the 50th?

Hi Sarah,
I like your idea for the "Mike Sylvester" list.  You are right on - I feel at least 10 years smarter--what a great education.  Mike & Lisa talked about the balloon festival, but I don't remember if they said they would be attending this year.  Some day I'll get there!  Yes, we'll see you at the 50th--can't wait!  Wish they had some of them there Pismo cinnamon rolls in Cheyenne!
