It's early to report on the Nuvi---it's only been on one long trip and several short ones with us, but here are some observations. Many others are available at Amazon.com. Just put Garmin Nuvi into the Amazon search box and read the customer reviews.
Basically, Mac and I are nuts for this little GPS---no bigger than a deck of cards, easy to take from one vehicle to another, goes in a pocket or a purse. Despite its small size, it is easy to read.

However, you don't need to read it at all since the voice tells you exactly what to do---turn left 2/10ths of a mile on Elm. Keep left on I-80 as you head towards x. We find the turn warnings on the freeway very useful as we now know whether to keep left or right and don't have to rush across lanes.

If you decide to go  your own way and ignore a suggested turn, it recalculates very fast.

It also picks up sat signals very fast and it can be set to avoid dirt roads, u-turns etc. You also change it depending on whether you are driving a car, a motorcycle or a bus---(the LD).

We haven't even bothered with the holder and may just put dots of velcro in various family vehicles.

Garmin comes out with a new Nuvi in June but we couldn't wait after we saw this and compared it to the larger Garmins.

Love finding ATM's, gas stations, banks, places to eat on it.
Not perfect but already a change for the positive in our lives. Will also help as our memories go south!

Would buy it again tomorrow---but is expensive. 799 at Best Buy, Cheaper on Amazon.

Mel, thanks for the review.  Makes me drool a bit - I've been holding off buying a GPS - this looks really good.  I like the portability factor along with all the bells and whistles.  Here's another review: http://tinyurl.com/hea65

Do you know what changes will happen in June?

Anyone else have experience with the Garmin nuvi?

We got our Costco coupon flyer a few days ago and they are offering a $150 Costco card as a rebate when you order the Nuvi 350 from 4/7/06 - 4/23/06. No price has been posted yet & don't know specifics of their offer.
