Here's one for you folks with a back-up monitor/camera system.

There was a recent spate of hot weather here in N. Calif. during which I had the occaision to back Lazy Bones into her stall.

When I shifted into reverse gear the monitor on the overhead visor did not turn on like it's supposed to. When I manually pushed the power button everything worked just fine. This happened on two separate days and has not recurred since.

I subsequently found one of the back-up light bulbs had burned out.
Do you suppose that there was any correlation between the two?
Steve Newton offered the idea that the electrical path from the back- up light line, which powers the camera/monitor, had not made contact and therefore no monitor. I shifted into and out of reverse several times to check that to no avail.

I'm still shaking my head.

'Sounds like a nice feature to know when a lamp is burned out!
