It is not something I'd recommend, but I've let our generator sit unesed for several months and with the PRI-G additive, it has always started quickly and run smoothly.Your are certainly safe in choosing the best gasoline available for your LD!Don McG 2001 MB Hi Don We usually use Arco and have allways been perfectly satisfied with it. Of course, with my E305 23.5 LD and its 35 gallon tank, sometimes we have little choice. In that case I would like to use an additive such as your PRI-G. Where do you get it?A maybe related question. A few months ago in Mexico I filled up on 87 octane. About 10 minutes later the "check engine" light came on and stayed on (1999 V-10). At the next fill-up I switched to the next higher octane. The indicator went off after about an hour or so, and never came back, even though I switched back to 87. Could it be the additives in gas in Mexico are poorer than in the US, and the engine computer thought there was an emission issue? Tom Johnston, Red 23.5 TK, Whidbey Island WA

Another cause could be they did not get the gas cap on tight. On some vehicles this will turn on the check engine light.Norm

All the sudden I was smiling because I thought the kid was in a hurry, and surely didn't get it on tight. But no such luck. Then we thought about dirty gas or water in the gas (the fuel filter was nearly new), but this was a major truck stop gas station chain, on a toll turnpike, and appeared to be imaculate. Of course, clean gas stations don't necessarily mean clean gas. Just one of those blips, I guess.:-) TJ
