Is this true? There is no jack supplied?QuoteThanks, Cindy Hello Cindy, You are correct. There is no jack supplied with a new Lazy Daze. This has been true for many years. Most, but certainly not all, LD owners do not set up their LD to safely change tire/wheel assemblies. If you do decide that you need a jack, the LD store sells a good one. Ours has never been used to change a wheel/tire assy. I use it only to take the load off the front ball joints when greasing them - about once every three years. If you do decide to set up your LD so that you can change a wheel/tire assy yourself, you'll need to look into the appropriate aftermarket lug nut torque wrench. Many of the standard wheel lug nut wrenches will not work effectively on the rear wheel lug nuts because they are recessed in the outside rear wheel 'dish'. Also, make sure you can manage the weight of the truck wheel/tire assy used on the E450. There is a lot more to changing a wheel/tire assy on our E450 than on a typical passenger car.........We have a towing service for unscheduled tire changes - Our RV life does not take us out of contact range with civilization.......Search the archive message data base and you will find quite a bit of experience and advice on how others have set up themselves for handling unscheduled wheel/tire changes on their LD.Don McG
Re: Our new LD Reply #2 – July 23, 2005, 11:42:27 pm Yahoo Message Number: 56062Cindy,That's correct, no jack is provided by LD.Changing the tire on something the weight of the LD is not a negligable task. I bought a jack (two could be necessary to assure coach clearance), the proper lug wrench, a breaker bar, a torque wench, etc. but hope to never use them. They are for emergency use only.
