Wiring question January 29, 2005, 01:16:14 am Yahoo Message Number: 50067Hi all,Removed the microwave in my MB to install the solar charge controller and remote inverter/charger control panel. LD did a nice job with the wiring harness - - all neatly bundled and nicely run. One run of several wires terminates behind the microwave, center and on the outside wall near the ceiling. I haven't taken the time to trace these wires out, I imagine that LD must have put them there for some reason, but I have no clue. Anyone?PS, I opted for the TV outlet under the microwave, so that's not it . . .all the best, bumper

I've had our microwave out a couple of times to install display panels in the paneling above. I recall one wiring bundle that goes into the outside wall above and to the left of the microwave. I'm pretty sure that this bundle travels straight down to another opening in the wall near the floor behind the converter, water pump, etc. IIRC, our solar controller wires are in this bundle. I tried and tried to get a snake down along this bundle to pull my wires in the wall, but finally gave up and routed them down the backside of the black tank vent pipe.HTH, Art

End of the bundle is tape wrapped and insulated. I guess I could call LD and ask (g) . . . or I could hook-up a track tone and trace the wires that way.I chose a different path to get the wires to the back of the fridge from the microwave area. The cupboard just to the right of the MW has a center shelf. If you look or feel on top of this shelf you'll find that there's cleats all around. The shelf is screw mounted through these cleats. I drilled my wiring holes through the cleats near the back of the shelf on each side. I'll make a false bottom panel to go on top of the cleats to hide the wires. This has the slight advantage of adding a bit of shelf space (what was taken by the cleats), and no real disadvantage in height lost as there's a lip on the front of the shelf to lift things over.all the best, bumper
