Aw shoot, I'll put my entry in anyway. You're getting some good names and some complicated names. IMO, when your naming something like this, it ought to be simple, preferable one word, and roll off the tongue easily. Some of those three word names folks are submitting are like those fancy names people hang on show dogs; think they use some 3 or 4 French word sounding names when when calling ol' Spot for dinner? Heck no!Put me down for "Ranger". Its simple, it relates to Texas, ( The Texas Rangers, not the baseball team) and it describes your RV activity, ranging over the country. Or if you wanna use Red Ranger, that's OK too. I'll take my prize either way!And the winner is?Steve K. (I'll take my Ohio snow over the Ca. rain/mudslides/earthquakes and time!)

Unscrew it and take it to your local trophy/engraving shop and ask to have one made in the appropriate size, with proper holes and screws for mounting, and with your exact name or sentiment engraved on it. As I understand it from recently past discussion, their stock nameplates all start out with "built to order for..." or a similar line, so you almost HAVE to choose your name to complete the phrase. And they limit the number of letters, which can be another problem. If you don't want your own name right by the front door (for safety or privacy concerns), and you can't think of a fun phrase that contains no more than, say, 19 letters and spaces and fits in with "built to order for...", your local shop can help.Sonsie

So with all this time on my hands here is what I came up with for names for the contest. Ok here goes, back in the day we had a governor named Jerry Brown, he dated Linda Ronstadt his nick name was "Moonbeam" thus for a brown LD, Moonbeam. "Tillie", would be for the teal color, then how about "Crystal" for the blue LD. If you have ever seen the crystal blue colors of the glaciers in Alaska you know what I'm talking about. For the silver LD, that would be "The Lone Ranger" or "Tonto", or "Scout" Scout was Tonto's horse and then of course we can't forget "Kemo Sabe". The possibilities are endless, somebody stop me! . I better get outside and get some fresh air.Marilyn drying out in Montclair, Calif.[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Also, there are some less than flattering guesses as to the intended meaning of "kemosabe". Our teal RB is named 'Tortuga', turtle in spanish, and our green jeep is named 'Sapo' which is toad in spanish. I think one of the best LD names is Dave and Carmen's 'Flojita' which means little lazy girl in spanish. That said, I too like 'Ranger' for the Texas LD.Jonna, in San Miguel
