Wiring inverter relay January 05, 2005, 12:25:18 pm Yahoo Message Number: 48723Larry, regarding your reply to Yonder; I'm getting ready to install a Xantrex RS400 inverter. It also has a buss transfer relay. I've planned to only feed a small number of the house outlets, due to wattage constraints. So you also didn't feed the A/C, or the converter. Right? I wouldn't want the converter to use battery power trying to trickle charge the battery. I haven't had time to investigate how everything is actually wired yet. I installed a near floor mounted outlet to run the 1500 watt heater when hooked up, but I don't think I want to run that much power through the inverter relay anyway. Re: Wiring inverter relay Reply #1 – January 05, 2005, 04:35:07 pm Yahoo Message Number: 48750I'm getting ready to install a Xantrex RS400 inverter. I had Camping World install our Xantrex RS400. It took the Tech about 4 hours. I was not going to try it myself. It is wired so all the 110 outlets are connected to the inverter. We only turn the inverter on for the entertainment items. The RS400 is a beauty and runs our 20" LCD TV, VCR/DVD, and Satellite perfectly with a perfect TV picture and it is very quiet. After using variuos plug-in small inverters it is nice have a real stable inverter that should last for a long time.EnjoyScott 94 26' RB
