Andy, RGS (Resident Garmin GPS Specialist):

I did a Google on the 1G compact flash cards for the Street Pilot 2610/2620 and got prices all over the place. OK to use any make/model or Garmin brand only?

Thanx....Anne

Any make except "Mr. Flash" should work fine. If you want to be extra safe, stick to Lexar and SanDisk, the two most reoutable brands.
I strongly suggest buying a 2 GB card rather than 1 GB--the cost is not that much greater, and it will hold the entire 1.7GB MapSource database, so you won't have to stop and download more data when you go from one part of the country to another. The way I see it, if you're going to the trouble, you might as well have everything at your fingertips!
