LED light follow-up December 17, 2004, 11:42:17 am Yahoo Message Number: 47970Hi all,Following Terry Tanner's lead, I replaced the original tail/turn/stop lights on my '05 MB with LED units from Maxxima. I also added a third brake light near the top of my faux spare wheel cover. The chrome plated (over plastic) trim ring for the 3rd brake light didn't match the more matt appearance of the trim rings used for the other LED fixtures . . . and being, I guess, a bit an__ (whatever that word is), this had to be corrected. Took the trim ring off and experimented with a bit of scotchbrite on the backside taps - - nope. Next I tried lightly bead blasting a tab - - perfect! Lightly glass bead blasted the front side and now have nice satin finish match the other trim rings (g). Yeah, I know, but little things like that make me happy . . .all the best,bumper
