Pickup report

We picked up our 2005 26.5MB (Cat's Meow) on November 23, 2004.  It was a very pleasant experience.  We were picked up at our motel, Pine Tree, on November 22 by Lazy Daze.  We spent the morning learning about Cat's Meow from Dave.  He was very thorough in his explanations about how everything works.  For a first timer, it was very helpful to have read the manual several times.  We found everything to be in order on, in and around Cat's Meow.  We spent the afternoon loading stuff we had carried on the plane and the nine boxes we had shipped to LD.  We asked Dave if it would be ok to bring some groceries tomorrow.  He said it would be fine.  LD took us back to the motel, and we walked across the street to the grocery store and loaded up on goodies for our trip.  The next morning LD picked us up at the motel, we loaded Cat's Meow with groceries and met our ICC driver Patrick.
We were on our way to Arizona by 9:15am.  Patrick was an enjoyable host/driver to Arizona.  He varied the speed some and never went over 65mph.  We did our paperwork with the notary at the Flying J, filled up with gas and propane and proceeded on I10.
We stopped at Quartzsite and visited with Linda & Earl Hylton.  They were so full of knowledge for rookies like us.  Thanks!  We proceeded on toward home in Fredericksburg, TX stopping in Florence, AZ at the Desert Gardens RV Park (beautful RV park), Tombstone, AZ, Las Cruses, NM, Alpine, TX, South Llano River State Park, TX and home.

We averaged 9.841 MPG over the trip.  Our best mileage was 10.692 mpg, wind aided and our worst mileage was 8.929 mpg, we got stuck in day after Thanksgiving traffic by a large mall in Tucson.  After the initial break in of 500 miles, we drove between 60 and 65 mph on most the trip.

Points for others, we tighten the lug nuts as instructed after 500 miles and they needed it.  The only problem that we had was keeping the oven pilot light on after the knob is released.  We are still trying to fix this problem.  The unit handle beautifully and was easy to drive.

Hope to see you on the road!
