Use of "Y" fitting on water hoses
Yahoo Message Number: 3042
The "Y" fitting goes on the park water faucet.
One of the Y's takes my potable water hose, and on the end of the hose I have a cutoff fitting - just a small ball valve fitting with a tiny handle to open or shut it. When it comes time to unhook, I shut the ball before unscrewing it from the coach and avoid a shower.

The other side of the "Y" I connect my utility hose (carefuly marked to avoid confusion with the potable water hose). On the end of that hose I also use a shutoff valve and keep the hose pressurized for fire or whatever (spraying windshield to clean, rinsing sewer hose - whatever).

Hope this makes it clear.

Some time back I made a list of "must haves" for camping, which I would happily find and share when I get back from my trip (after 17 April). E-mail me your net address and I'll send it in a few weeks.
