30' Island bed vs twin beds

Does anybody have any comments about twin beds vs island bed? There's the obvious difference of more difficulty making the bed with twins, but are there any other pros or cons. Frankly, my wife and I each sleep better in seperate beds (unless it's a king)...is there less storage avail with twins?

Posted recently for the first time as "wife doesn't like floor plans". Well, now she does. We've rec'd the brochure and video and are probably heading for placement of an order in the future.

Just remembered that on a post on this board a long time ago, somebody mentioned that the water tank is under the island bed, also, something about undercoach storage coming up in the under-bed area...so, there must be internal differences complicating things other than just having the twin beds moved off to the side. When others on earlier posts have asked questions about differences between island bed and twin beds, there were few or no responses, so maybe nobody posting here has experience with twin beds?? Maybe I need to call the factory.

Once you dig into the research of twin vs. island bed (I assume you are talking about the 30' model), you will probably find the biggest reason is re-sale.
The double bed units outsell the twin bed models by about 25 to 1. Ask Ed at LD or any other dealer of any make. So, my suggestion is that if resale is NOT important to you, and you plan to keep the unit for a good while, go with the twin that will keep both of you happy

That, BTW, is the reason we love our 26.5 MB so much - sometimes we like to sleep "twin style" and sometimes we like to "snuggle" - we can do either in ours with ease.
