The Buying Experience April 04, 2001, 02:20:33 pm Yahoo Message Number: 3053Yesterday we took the plunge! Ordered our "Baby Daze" twin/king to be delivered late October or November. I just wanted to share, especially for those who are thinking about buying a new LD, that which has been written here before, and that is, what a pleasant experience the entire ordering process was.Although we have never before ordered an RV of this size, we have certainly bought many new cars--and there is no comparison. Buying a car is a harrowing experience--pushy salespeople, closers, haggling, surprises at the end. Buying a LD is the farthest thing from that experience that one could imagine. Steve spent hours with us, patiently explaining the pros and cons of the various options that we were interested in, allowing us to come to our own decisions without any pressure at all. We left feeling as if we had made a great decision (we did!) as well as making a new friend. The pride in the product as well as knowledge about the product they sell is evident. Everything I've heard and read here is true, and it is refreshing in this age of sales hype, voice mail, and a "quantity over quality" attitude, to know that there is an organization like Lazy Daze.A future LD owner, Sandy
The Buying Experience Reply #1 – April 04, 2001, 09:57:05 pm Yahoo Message Number: 3059At first glance, Lazy Daze seems to be the "Saturn" of the RV market, with their customer-first attitude and low-to-no-pressure sales approach. Actually sometimes the lack of pressure almost seems to head into the minus direction, as in "...Well, you really don't need that [whizbang accessory] to go camping...".The difference is that, while Saturn bloats their prices to support a "no hassle" approach, the Lazy Daze line turns out to be a true bargain, compared to any of their competition, based on what you get for what you pay.We placed our order last October, and were pleasantly surprised in December when we got a Christmas card from The Gang at Lazy Daze. Very classy, we thought...Bob
The Buying Experience Reply #2 – April 04, 2001, 11:27:20 pm Yahoo Message Number: 3062Hi Sandy--What options did you order for your new 23 twin/king? Exterior color? Interior colors (valence color, carpet color etc.) I have been contemplating ordering a 23 twin/king because I have had no luck finding a late model used one. I live in Florida and used ones don't pop up too often here. Thanks---Noel
The Buying Experience Reply #3 – April 04, 2001, 11:56:30 pm Yahoo Message Number: 3064Noel, Our LD will be teal exterior, beige print upholstery, teal carpet, beige with teal trim valance (just like the model, pictured in the photos by chorst). The options we got were a solar panel, Bilstein shocks, outside shower, phone jack, receiver hitch, heat strip, and 8 c/d changer. We were undecided about DSS, insulated holding tanks, and a couple of other minor details. We decided against both of the above because of expense, bother, lack of necessity, etc. But...it was strictly our decision, made only after we had all the information available. The great thing about buying new is that you will get your LD just the way you want it. We, too, had looked for late model used, but the one we found cost almost as much as a new one, and was sold by the time we called! This webite has been extremely valuable in sorting out the various options and in acquiring information just to know what questions to ask! Thanks to everyone! Sandy
