The more we look into toads using dollies vs towing on four wheels, we believe it is probably best to tow on all four wheels. Currently, we have a 2000 Nissan Altima and a 95 Mazda Millenia, neither of which can be towed on all fours without being altered in rather expensive ways. We will be looking into vehicles that can be towed on all fours. I know that recently there was an article in Motorhome Magazine which listed all of the current model year vehicles that can be towed. We are considering looking at Saturns since they can be towed; Hondas could be a possibility as well if they too can be towed. You should be able to go to www.rv.net to get the list of vehicles that can be towed as well. I just tried the Web site and it didn't load so it must be down for maintenance today.

To add to my own message, the following url will get you right to the 2000 model year list of vehicles that can be towed: [url=http://www.lazydazeowners.com/[url=http://www.motorhomemagazine.com/dinghytowingguide/dinghytowingguide_2000tc.cfm

I would that if the 2000 model vehicle can be towed, the 2001 models for a given make could also be towed. The Web site is up and running now.

Another very reliable source for towing information is [url=http://www.lazydazeowners.com/[url=http://www.towingworld.com/

They show the letter from Honda regarding towability....According to them many automatics are towable. I have an '97 accord EX that I will tow 4 down . I am looking to get the Roadmaster Sterling or Blue Ox Alladin tow bar and also a braking system.....Right now I like the simplicity of the BrakeBuddy, but could change my mind before taking delivery of our 30' IB in April/May.

We have a Jeep Cherokee 4x4 automatic. This a great tow vhehicle when going four down. I did have to install diodes for the tailight and brake lights to work when hooked up to the motorhome so as to keep the curent from backfeeding into the dash board panel and front running lights though.

The four wheel drive has come in handy a few times, plus the weight of the jeep is less than 3000 Lbs. which pulls very well.

We use a Roadmaster tow bar which folds up on the motorhome hitch when not in use, works great!

Because of the adjustable arms, hookup takes just a minute or two, put the transfer case in neutral, check the lights and away you go.
