In the March Lazy Daze Caravan Club Newsletter, they are asking for Lazy Daze owners in Oregon (Washington as well?) to join their group. If interested, e-mail . They just say LD owners, no mention about restricted to original owners (new) or previously owned (used). [A strange distinction anyway.]

My apologies if this has been announced before.

If I live in Oregon or Washington, I can join the factory club but if I live in California, I can't...OK..I quess they need you to advertise in the Northwest for them. They have enough owners in California. Lazy Daze has a cult-like following among all owners, original and second hand. Justlook how much time is dedicated to this site. Why is the previously owned crowd looked down on. Most of us plan on buying a new one when the finances are right. And even if we are not buying them, we are selling them. I have convinced friends to buy two LDs and I'm sure many of you have done the same. This site must also clam responsibility for a few new sales . Lazy Daze should consider allowing all LD owners to join. It would be a win-win situation for them.
It would bring more energy to the club, probably increase sales, and add more cult members, Just stay away from the Coolaide at the club campouts.

TO lw5315us: Boy do you have things all wrong. First the Lazy Daze caravan club has no connection what so ever with this web site. This is a private web site and I think it is a great site and itis doing a real service to people with question. All of the answers are peoples own thoughts and ideas.
As I said before you have to be an orginal owner to join the club.
This club was started back in the early sixty for those new owners could get together and compare idieas and have something in common and camp together. Today it is still the same, all club members have many thing in common. We all got our LD. from the same place, the factory and paid the same price for the same thing. Ask any other motor home club if they can say the same ? The club is there for the member , not to sell motor homes We have approx. 800 active members, thank goodness they all don't come out at the same time.
As it is we have any where from 125 to 200 Lazy Daze motor homes come out to the Lazy Daze Caravan every month, and we have had as many as 300.
It is very hard to find a campground in sothern cal. that can handle us. If we invited all the second time owners of a Lazy Daze to come out we could notfind a place to meet. The club is a mone business club. We do not sell motor homes, that is the factory job. We have many of our members that have bought 2, 3, and even 4 Lazy Daze over the years. I am on my third one and probably will buy another new one in a few years.
So you see it would not be a win win situation for the club to invite all.
Be sure and take a look at the books and pictures of the Lazy Daze Caravan Club at the factory.
I have said enough.

Just to reiterate, this club has NO connection in any way to Lazy Daze or their Caravan Club. As Kahuna said, this is a private club that was started by owners of used Lazy Daze RV's. We are merely fans of what we feel is a great product. Nuff said!

Bob, I am sorry to see you go. As a LD "willbe", I have very much appreciated your contributions in the past. I wanted to send you an e-mail of thanks, but your e-mail address is unlisted. Hopefully, our paths will cross and hopefully your journey will eventually bring you back to this group to provide future contributions.

I have to admit I haven't a clue as to what has transpired to lead to you to some of your comments and your decision to leave the group, nor do I need to know.

It is possible that some may be under the impression that there is a connection between "Lazy Daze"(the manufacturer), "Lazy Daze Caravan Club", "Northwest Caravan Club", or this specific Yahoo Club called "Life With A Lazy Daze RV". After having followed this club closely since its inception, it is my understanding that the only connection that any of these entities have to each other is a common pride in a very well made RV product. If I'm misinformed in any of of this, someone please set me straight.

In any event, as someone who will eventually be a LD owner, I am and will continue to be appreciative to all of you who have raised questions/provided answers in the past and/or will do so in the future. Thanks.

My apologies to you . This site IS for all Lazy Daze owners. Originaly it seemed to be aimed toward the used group. It is a forum for the free exchange of LD related information, opinons, etc. As a certified LD cult member I love these machines as much as anyone. The thought of going somewhere and seeing 200-300 LD's is incredible. To bad my finances don't allow this yet.I have been around a lot motorhomes owners and I have not seen this level of excitement about a brand except with some of the bigger class A brands. And this interest is as strong in the "used" group. You will never see a group of used Winnnebago owners like this group. After eight years, I feel that I qualify as a "real" owner. I have certainly bought a lot of repair parts from LD ( and gawked at the models).I know I can't come play with the big boys yet but someday....So stick around bigkahuna, it good to find someone who is passionate about something as fine as Lazy Daze.
