Can anyone tell me how much time will be required to tour the factory, view the floor models, test drive, then, perhaps begin the ordering process? I intend on doing this over a Friday-Saturday period (fly in Thursday pm). Is that amount of time feasable or should I allow more time when I make the trip?

Our factory tour including test driving the model we were interested in as well as placing our order with Ed Newton took an entire morning. Ed personally took us on a tour of the entire production process.
When he took us on the test drive, he did some swerving in an S fashion to show just how stable the handling was. He let me drive the rig as much as I wanted to. We actually came back again late on a Friday afternoon about quitting time to look again at all of the rigs on the display floor and pick up samples of the cloth and carpet going into our RK. They accomodated us with no problems. I believe that Saturdays are not open for factory tours; I may be wrong on that. Call them and they will either pick you up at the airport or at a local hotel.

OK, thanks for the information.  I read on this site that the factory tours are only available during the week, but the showroom and sales department are open on Saturdays.

Your plan is close to how we did our factory visit. We spent a Friday afternoon at the factory getting a tour and looking over all of the models. Friday evening at the hotel was a good time to go over notes, kind of a cooling off period. Saturday morning we went in for a test drive and placed our order.

We test drove the RB "party plan" model, most likely because it was closest to the door. At the end of the test drive, Ed had me pull it back on to the show room floor. I was really paranoid that I might mess up and damage something, but I did alright.
