Entertainment center for 2001 MB

We already have 9000 miles on our MB. It is great. However we never use the bed above the front seats, so I would like to remove it and build an entertainment center in that place. Any insigthe and experiences that any of you may have would be appreciated.

Hi Arne. I've about doing something similar when we order our MB in a couple of years. If you haven't already, you might ask LD why they don't offer the entertainment center as an option in the MB model. If it's because of weight loading issues, you might want to take that into consideration. If its only because of the limited number of TV viewing seats in the MB, then go for it. Ken

Does anyone know the approximate price of the entertainment center, also how comfortable are the twin sofas to sleep on?

I have the MD. The entertainment center is fortunately not an option on this model. (Probably because they put the TV in the middle, so it is not very useful.) Weight should not be a problem.

The Twin Sofa matresses are great!, at least as comfortable as our bed at home.

Quoting right from my invoice of 2-7-01, the entertainment center with 20" TV/VCR and cabinets costs exactly $1,195.00. We ordered the twin sofas and would be interested in others' experiences with sleeping on them as well. They seemed comfortable for us at the factory.

We find the thin sofas very comfortable for sleeping. I like a wider bed, so I pull the curb side sofa out one position.

The multi-density foam used in the Lazy Daze cushions are the best I've found in an RV for comfort. Should the usual top cushion side be a tad soft for you, the cushion is designed to be turned over, which puts a firmer side toward your tender bod! Neat!
