I'm just about ready to order the 26 1/2 MB and have a few questions perhaps someone could answer.
What is the actual length of this unit to the inch bumper to bumper?, If you want to watch TV in the front, where do some of you place the TV?, What's the size of the dinette table?, Can an extra TV jack be installed when ordering a rig? Thanks for any responses.

We just sold our 26.5 MB/RL and IF one had TV in the cab over area, unless you had a folding or moveable type chair you would only be able to view from the dinette area. We had a TV on the stand between the two barrel chairs and watched from the couch, located on the curb side. If one wanted to recline to watch, just swiveled TV. That's also where the AC/DC and cable hook up were located, to the front of the stand.

Van,

Bumper-to-bumper, the 26.5' is 26' 4" as near as I can tell. Add about 2" for the ladder and it's 26.5' overall.

The dinette table is 21" X 38.5".

Yes, extra TV jacks can be specified when ordering.

Thanks Bob, I remember buying a 24ft motorhome once which landed up being 24' 11". I guess LD is pretty good in giving accurate information.

Does anyone know what the charge is to substitute 2 barrel chairs and cabinet for one of the sofas in the rear of the MB? I realize I would probably lose an outside storage cabinet.
Thanks, Van

Van, According to our 2001 price list it is a $250.00 up charge from the twin sofas.
Not sure about what storage space you would lose perhaps someone else can answer that.

re: Storage space in MB model when you opt for twin barrel chairs. LD uses the space under the gauchos/beds in the rear for storage, which is accessed through outside doors. If you opt for the barrel chairs, you lose about 6' x 30" by 14" storage space. I have the MB and, personally, I would NOT want to give up the storage space.

On the issue of exterior color, my '93 is blue. While it would not have been my first choice if I bought new, I will certainly say that, after eight years, the coach portion paint looks absolutely like new. The only fading (slight) is on the hood of the Ford, and the fiberglass fender flares over the front wheels. My guess is that LD does NOT use the Imron paint on the latter items, like they do on the coach body. If I bought a new one, my personal choice would be the red stripe, but I know that red paint is one of the worst for fading over time.
