I need more load capacity than what the E-350 offers. I would prefer a short rig so I can still park in normal parking lots, like I can in my 22'FL .

Ed says it's because the ride would be too rough if they used the heavier chassis for that size. I know what you mean, though. The usable payload is pretty tight. Fortunately, that's not a huge issue with us. We'd rather have the smaller size which still seems gigantic to us--we're intimidated by anything bigger. (Many years ago we were happy to camp in a VW Westphalia, but we're a lot older now, so no way!) Sandy
