July 12, 2003, 11:18:15 am Yahoo Message Number: 24412Rvingagain3, your comments about the dated interiors are somewhat curious since you just saw the UPDATED interiors! :^) You would have loved the dark cabinets, parquet looking floor, velour-like upholstery, and the carpet color choices that were available until just recently! I just survived the 8 month wait, and can address some of your comments. We had a travel trailer for 3 years that gave us our first taste of RVing, but we wanted more. We did look at a couple of Class A's, and determined that was NOT what WE wanted. We looked at nearly everything in the market. From Born Free, Bigfoot, Winnebago, Jayco, and some of the smaller units like Rialta and that ilk. Yes, you can get better cabinetry, you can get Corian, you can get slideouts, and I could go on and on. With each RV brand and type, there are compromises, as you no doubt know. I wish I had the cabinets of the Born Free, the insulation of Bigfoot, the upholstery of, well..... there really isn't much that I find appealing in the marketplace in that regard, so Lazy Daze will do just fine. And your right, the Newtons don't try to "sell" you, cause they already have orders up the wahzoo. Its up to you to decide if you want it, not them. I live in Ohio and they're in California; I would have loved to do business in a more convenient manner. For us anyway, the choice was made because they had 3, yes thats right 3, floorplans that we found more appealing than other Class C's. The furnishings were more comfortable than any other Class C's. The construction is as good as or better than almost all Class C's. The carrying capacity is greater, (why would you want that heavy Corian in an RV anyway? I've got it in my house, but why would you want to leave important stuff at home so you can carry Corian around the continent?) Usually you have to sacrifice something, you can't bet the best product, the best price and the best service in one package. But this is one time that I think I HAVE. Time will tell, but there is an 8 month line of folks waiting , and unless you get in line now, your wait will be longer! Steve K
