at long last our delivery report... follow up

Sam asked if I figured out what was causing all the road and wind noise or did I just get used to it. I think most of the noise was caused by the fresh asphalt. Sometimes fresh black top that has not had much traffic, can generate considerable noise. The wind noise was like a buffeting kind of sound. If you ever drove a car with the sunroof open and an open area in the rear, it creates a lot of buffeting and that was what we were experiencing. I suspect it had to do with the wind direction. We did encounter it a few times as we crossed the country, but it was very sporadic and brief. I don't feel it was anything wrong with the LD. I was paying a lot of attention to things, because I wanted to spot any "problem" before we got far from the mothership. If I could make one reccomendation to those who are waiting for their pick up, it would be to try to get there a day early and view the motorhome in a more relaxed atmosphere. For out of state deliveries, you are working at a rapid pace to finish before the ICC driver is scheduled. Due to our circumstances it wouldn't have mattered, but in reviewing how I would do things over, it would be to spend a day looking at it, finalize your purchases, and then drive it out the next day. Just my $.02!
