Brought Our "New To Us" LD Home June 23, 2003, 04:45:54 pm Yahoo Message Number: 23717We finalized the purchase of our LD Friday evening. 2002 23.5' Front Dinette-Blue-12K miles. It has the following: 2 solar panels;electric step;bilstein shocks;insulated holding tanks;kwickee leveling jacks;3 extra color coordinated window awnings;wheel covers for storage;CB;covers for cabwindows and escape hatch (uninstalled);bike rack;extended metal valve stems(Chuck the Tireman);Lazy Daze dash cover and floor mats; plus many other little things the previous owner left in the LD. We are new to RVing so we are now in the learning stage. It has not been to bad except the LPG sensor going off(SAT AM) every 1-2 minutes for about 30 minutes. A neighbor RVer came over with a meter and found no LPG leaks. The previous owner had told us the LPG sensor was very sensitive(hair spray, etc.)but I didn't have the impression it would last so long. I closed the LPG valve and the sensor continued to wail until after I started the engine and let it run for 2-3 minutes. Any experienced LDers have any thoughts as to what the problem could be? We also experienced low water pressure at the toilet. Very little water swirled in the toilet and the spray hose just had a stream(very low pressure) and no spray. Again, anyone have any comments to the solution? My wife had never driven a RV before so she got her feet wet on the trip home and I might add she did quite well. I told her if she could not drive I-10 from Phoenix to San Antonio(wide open spaces) then she wouldn't be able to drive any other places as this stretch of highway is as easy to drive as any in the USA. I warned her of the push to the right whe would get from most 18 wheelers passing from the left rear. She handled it like a pro. We made 4 stops on the way home(first tank of gas-10.7 mpg at 65 mph with the dash AC on; second tank of gas-10.1 at 70 mph with the dash AC on and a strong head wind)and the one overnight stay in a RV park. In all instances we had people come over and make comments about our LD.Glad to say we are no longer wannabes but are now Newbie LDers.Any help that can be offered on our LPG sensor problem and the low water pressure at the toilet will be greatly appreciated.John & Colleen 2002 23.5' Front Dinette San Antonio, Tx

The factory is doing the same in the 2004-year models. I took my 2003 LD 23.5' FL back to LD and had Steve look at it. The toilet and spray have very low pressure. Steve showed me another LD under construction and it had the same flow. He said that is normal, a water saving feature. Our 1983 22' FL did not suffer from this problem. Many others have the same complaint with the new models. The new toilets, used by LD, require higher flow rates to flush properly when compared to the older models. Low flow is the reason why the Factory is going to the new pump, with its significantly greater output. This may be your solution.Larry

If you are new to RVing, care and maintenance of the coach electrical system is an important topic to familiarize with. If the robust LD battery bank was low enough to cause an alarm, it was way too low. Repeated deep discharges will shorten the life of the batteries. I would have the coach electrical system checked out for problems.Steve

Congratulation! You are going to love it. Sounds like you got a nice rig.QuoteWe are new to RVing so we are now in the learning stage. It turned out to be a problem with the sensor, and it was easiest just to replace it.Laurie
