Power Mirrors June 19, 2003, 04:39:29 pm Yahoo Message Number: 23576I noticed that some members have reported getting power mirrors on their LD, even though LD does not list this as an official option. Are the power mirrors the same size as the standard LD mirrors, or are they smaller? Do you end up trading off reduced visibility for convenience?Dave

But the price is steep. I think I remember him saying $750.00 but I think I saw it listed for $600.00 on one of the lists on this site.JerryCO wannabe

Power Mirrors Reply #3 – January 16, 2004, 01:11:24 pm Yahoo Message Number: 32231Talked w/LD and they were reluctant to add this option, saying LD had added very few power mirrors. We also visited with local Ford dealer, who was reluctant to add power mirrors. Add-on power mirrors have potential to cause future problems even when installed by trained techs. Both men groaned when we brought up the subject! Suni

Power mirrors have been standard on many passenger car models for over a decade, and I haven't heard anybody complain about problems with them. My 1995 Honda Accord has them and I've never had the slightest trouble. What's so different about the Velvac power mirrors, I wonder?Andy Baird

The wiring is really very simple and the power mirrors themselves are also quite simple.Scott

They are "reluctant" to add them but if they (Ed in our case) understand that you REALLY want/need'em, no problem.Terry & Nancy waiting for 8103 May/June
