help on Michelin selection (tires not MPG)

Brent: the Michelin web site has lots of information on Michelin tires. Check on www.michelinman.com; click on truck and van.  All of the recommended tires are pictured with a brief discription of each, and a numerical rating ( 1 to 10). Click on "more details" and you will see the individual details of the rating on six categories: Wet Traction; Everyday Handling; Mud Traction; Winter Traction; Maximum Tread Life; Quiet Ride.  Note that the rating of the LTX A/S is 8, and the XPS Rib is 10.  However, XPS rib is lower than the LTX in several categories except tread life which is 10 instead of 7 for the LTX. Mud Traction, Winter Traction, and Quiet Ride are all markedly lower for the XPS Rib. Most of the experts in this Group agree that RV tires have to be replaced for age instead of tread wear, so if you disregard that category, the LTX  A/S has a  considerably higher rating.  This web site has much more info available, and page 3 on the Google search has another Michelin site that gives all the detail specifications for the tires - revolutions per mile, etc.  Good Luck Les.
