Hi, fellow LD'ers,

Well, our 3 month winter sojourn in FL has come to a close.  We arrived back home in MD on Sunday.  Saw a pretty good hink of FL.
We spent Christmas at Gamble Rogers SP, New Years at Lake Manatee SP, then headed down the werst coast to the Everglades and then Key West.  Came back up around Lake Okeechobee and then NW to Manatee Springs SP, Ochlockonee River SP, and ended with nearly 5 weeks at St Joseph Peninsula SP.  In all, we stopped at about 15 different FL state parks.  Only a couple were a bit disappointing.  The warm springs are eally interesting to visit.  The drive to/from Key West is more interesting than Key West itself.  Too many tourists there now with the cruise ships disgorging thousands every day.  We stayed at the Key West Naval Air Facility CG, which is pretty cheap and extremely convenient to Mallory Square.

Met up with a few LD'ers, but not many.  Arranged to visit Judy in Silverlady.  That was interesting because we almost bought Silverlady before Judy.  While we wre at St Joseph, Cynthia & Larry from VA appeared for a couple of nights.  Down in the Keys while eating lunch one day, JoAnn & Bill stopped to say hi.  They were on their bikes so we didn'nt get to see their 2-month old LD.

T'was a cool winter down there, but it sure beat being home with all the snow that the DC area got this year.

We've already made some of our reservations for next winter, and we signed up to spend the month of January as CG Hosts at Ochlockonee River.

Now it's time to sell this house so we can spend even more time in our LD.  These past three months in our 23.5 FL were absolutely delightful !

I also have about 2500 messages on the group to catch up on.  It"s great to see the ole LD crew is still out there.

Happy spring to all.
