Anyy info I'm thankfull The value of solar panels TO YOU depends, in part, on how much dry camping/boondocking you do. Just being off the grid "sometimes" probably isn't enough to warrant the price of solar panels, particularly considering you'll have a generator to supply power for those "sometimes" occasions. How much will they power, depends on how many batteries and how many solar panels you have. You cannot, of course, run A/C off solar panels (you'd need more batteries and solar panels than most RVs have room for, even the largest Class A's). But, with a properly equipped rig, including a properly sized inverter, you should be able to run almost everything else just as though you were hooked into electricity at an RV park. Assuming, of course, sunny days...but you can use the generator to help charge batteries on cloudy days, or during the winter when the sun is lower to the horizon.Linda Hylton http://earl-linda.blogspot.com/

I seem to recall your second question being answered very recently. I would suggest getting a copy of "Managing 12 Volts", Amazon is a source, and reading it to come up to speed. On Sat, 20 Nov 2010 19:47:28 -0000, "Paul C" pjcareynj@...> wrote:
