Remove Cab Seats
I took out the cab seats to get them recovered. I don't see much posted on this. Anyhow, ffr, you can remove the seats and leave the mounting frame in place. On the pax side just slide the seat forward and back to access the bolts. On the driver side, tilt the seat all the way up in the front and use a ratcheting box end to loosen the nut. (photo #1) For the back bolts, tilt the back up all the way and use a ratchet to loosen the bolts.

Interesting!  I’ve wondered how the seats come out so I’m glad you posted this.  After driving awhile in our 2004 RB we’ve noticed the drivers seat seems lower on the right side. It’s uncomfortable. If I decide to tackle the problem I’ll follow your directions. Thank you!

Hi Jor; Interesting pictures.   You have the power seats that weren't available in '99. Since I have mine all the way back, and they have never moved, the power adjusting feature isn't too useful.  The framework needs a large Torx wrench from below for removal. I've been considering a rotatable seat for the passenger side.

Mari;  when driving I often lift my left thigh off of the seat to change positions for comfort. The right thigh has to stay there to operate gas and brake pedals, so I'm starting to see more wear on the right side. For your 2004 seat it may be a cushion deterioration problem, or possibly a broken spring issue with the inside framework.
