A 1/2 Amp AGC fuse is most likely, if the old fuse was about 1 inch long. Note the date stamped on the unit - if more than 60 months ago, the internal timer will stop it from working, requiring replacement.

Hi Steve; In my experience the 5 year timer is electronic, run by a processor that updates time in an EAROM. I know of people that put switches inline, or pull the fuse for long periods of inactivity. To save a few $ and risk forgetting to turn it on, or having it time out while you are using the rig, because you can't really predict when or how much it was used!  I consider that to be a poor risk.
I have one new one in a sealed box. I'm hoping that it will be good for 5 years of use, after my present one times out.  RonB
