Stovetop Burner November 06, 2024, 11:45:15 am I noticed the flame 🔥 on the stovetop burners has yellow tips. What causes this and is it an issue?

What causes this and is it an issue?Yellow tips or flames are usually caused by to rich a mixture, not enough air is being pulled into the burner.Under the stovetop, you will find the air intake venturi for each burner. Try vacuuming each venturi and cleaning the burners.If that doesn't do it, check the propane pressure.Larry 1 Likes

Re: Stovetop Burner Reply #4 – November 06, 2024, 05:10:03 pm Greg, is it the same on all three burners and does it get worse with all the burners on together? It's usually just a house keeping issue. If it gets worse with all three burners on it could be a gas pressure issue.Jon

With all three burners going at once, the yellow becomes more prevalent the longer they are on; initially the flame is pretty blue.I think when I replace the tank shut-off valve, I’ll do the regulator as well since I believe it is original.
