Ext. storage compartment seal replacement

I’m sure this has been asked before but search function appears quite broken SO …

Phideaux needs to have all her exterior storage compartment seals replaced, looking for details on OEM supplier and partnum LD used OR pointer to alternate seal with adhesive+clip-on attachment

Searching “RV exterior storage compartment seal” made my head go BOOM! so asking here seemed like a Good Idea

If it matters, Phideaux is an ‘09 27’ Rear Bath

Hi, I'm thinking that "Phideaux" is referring to your Lazy Daze motorhome, or maybe it is you?  The search function located in the pull down menu of the "COMMUNITY" header, just seems broken. It takes a little practice to get the key words right, for it to locate what you are looking for. It is best NOT to specify "match all words". If you do that you may not get any answers, or too many unrelated old comments . You are relying on other post(ers) to use the exact same words that you are searching. Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. Using fewer 'key' words works better for me. Both 'compartment' and 'seals' are used in a lot of comments, so you might try single but more specific words.

I did a search on "compartment doors" and located one for re-gluing the seals you have.   D-Shape Rubber Weather Stripping replacement     If they are missing totally or are mangled enough, you can look online, or try some of the seal products in big box stores. Lowes, Home Despot', or such.  I did stock up on some before LD went out of business, so I haven't needed much. I mostly reglue it. I could take some from the generator access door if I were desperate, since just inches away that compartment is open to the ground. Just an anti-rattle seal I think. Or back pressure on the door to help the lock stay closed.
Welcome to the Lazy Daze club, with your 'new to you' coach. We hope that you can more easily find answers to what you need here. Most of us have similar issues with use and ageing of the LD.

I use Steele Rubber Products on my car projects; excellent quality.  I ordered some D-shaped weatherstripping from them & plan to install it on one of my external storage compartments in the next few days.  I’ll report back on the size & shape vs. what’s installed by LD.

The Steele Rubber D-shaped weather stripping is larger than the product originally installed in my LD.  But it worked great.  It fit into the channel and compressed nicely when the compartment door was closed.  It comes with 3M tape on the back making installation super easy.  I only replaced the corners in this first compartment, but think I’ll do a full replacement on all compartment doors once I put the LD in my garage for the winter.

Thank you for the warm welcome and replies!

Phideaux is a misspelling of Phydeaux, the name given our family’s LD by my dad, a life-long Frank Zappa fan.  Fellow FZ fans should recognize the homage.

My parents bought Phydeaux new from the factory.

When I first tried the Search function I got an error page, but it is working for me now.

I will try the Steele Rubber product, thanks!
