We’ve replaced our tired, ragged 2016 Rand McNally Road Atlas with a 2025.  Why?  Because sometimes Garmin and Waze are not as reliable as paper 📝!   And that’s a fact. 😂

Footnote:  I told the Navigator it was a present.  And Navigator said “try again.”

I still have a road atlas out of sentimental reasons, but I download areas on Google maps for use offline.

Have yet to need the atlas, but it’s there just in case.

Funny side note, I downloaded all of Newfoundland and Nova Scotia this summer, but had signal most places.

But I didn’t do the same for New England and ran into trouble in Maine & Massachusetts

I have used the Rand McNally road atlas for many years. I buy a new one every year and highlight mark the routes we take as we are traveling. They go into a file at the end of the year to use as reference of past travels. We also use the GPS when traveling. We do not preplan or mark out routes before traveling because those routes can change (and usually do) when on the road. Currently I probably have about 27 of those books. I can't even tell how many times we have referred back to those old atlases.
