Another MB pantry addition September 13, 2024, 09:32:36 pm I’ve finally finished a long awaited MB pantry addition. I used Larry Wade’s plans. It was my first attempt at a wood working project. I was able to borrow a Kreg pocket jig from my brother. I’ve been wanting to experiment with one of those. It’s really slick. Not too much of a learning curve. I ordered doors from: Fastcabinetdoors.com. Two, 22x29 maple doors were $248, including shipping. The Fiesta style was an exact match to my 2017 MB cabinet doors. My local hardware store offered stain matching. They came amazingly close to the existing color. I have 6 coats of General Finishes ARM-R-SEAL Urethane wipe on top coat on it. Easy to use, and looks really nice. I used 1/4” aluminum rods for the rails. My biggest challenges were installing the hinges and hanging the doors. I managed to get it done to my satisfaction, but have a few extra holes here and there. I used 2 sets of roller catches on each door. I was able to rout finger pulls without a router table. YouTube was invaluable. As was help from my friend, Stephen. It’s a project that’s been on my mind for years. Thanks, Larry, for the design and plans. 20 Likes
