Real LDs have the traditional horizontal stripes.

It was a sad day for us traditionalists when the new paint scheme was revealed, as LD continued to find ways to cut costs.
The traditional paint was still offered for a year or two as an added cost option, the old paint took much more labor to lay out the stripes and pinstriping.
Steve eventually stopped offering the old paint, as LD's staff continued to shrink and lost much of the accumulated talent.

For many years, wondering how long LD would continue to build motorhomes was a frequent campfire discussion among LD enthusiasts at GTGs.

I'm glad you two could hookup! Great time to share your travel experiences. Tell Muhammad I said Hi and you both continue your Newfoundland adventures.
Brimstone Head is considered one of the four corners of the flat Earth according to the Flat Earth Society. It is a great view at the top.
I wish I could be there, but not this year.

Here are a couple of photos of Brimstone Head and the town of Fogo. While staying on the nearby Change Island I got a photo of a rare tornado forming over the water. Moving onshore it did some damage to a few homes.

Mods feel free to delete if the owner complains or if it may put someone or their LD at risk. Not my intention.

This LD is parked in a storage yard near where I live. I love the striped gradient paint scheme!!

LDs in Maine

At one time in the 20-teens there were 4 of us registered in Maine.  There were occasional sightings of traveling LDs and a couple of times the NELD group held their gatherings in Maine.  I know of 2 that are no longer here, I am unsure of another, and I no longer see the 4th one in its driveway.  In all likelihood those two are "gone."

We sadly sold our MB in July of 2019 to a lovely lady from CA who was spending a great deal of time in AZ.

We do love to see those traveling LDs, few though they may be.
