Power Center Maintenance
One of the maintenance items I’ve seen recommended on the forum is to occasionally check the tightness of any electrical connections in the power center. What safety precautions should be done before accomplishing this maintenance?

Hello Greg,

I disconnect shore power, pull the fuse for the solar panels, and disconnect the negative terminal on the house batteries.   At least, that's what I do and I'm still here.   Hope this helps.

Generator off and any source of AC disconnected, Then, with the cover panel over the breakers removed, tighten each setscrew clamping a wire onto both the neutral and ground busses and check for any signs of overheating from previous loose connections. Then verify the hot wire attachments to the breakers are secure. Replace cover.
