Saw this Red LD @ Faywood Hot Springs NM
We saw this Red 2003+ish LD~MB at Faywood Hot Springs NM.  Actually we parked directly across from it.  Nobody Home!
We left PNW in October'23, we traveled south through Central Oregon and Nevada.  Later through Palm Springs California to Baja and then recently to Texas to see the eclipse and now back to NM.  We only saw ONE LD in Baja!  None in California!  One in Texas and this one at Faywood Hot Springs NM.    Whats up LD Owners!

Hi Liam and Karen. Well we saw plenty of LD's at Jurupa campground in January, Lake Perris in February, Morro Bay and Jalama with Rincon Beach campground in March. In San Diego we had visitors from Florida and frozen east (New Jersey). We also were in New York, New Jersey,  Quebec City, on an Ocean cruise to Nova Scotia, so we left the LD parked at home. Sorry we weren't out on the road. At our age some friends were/are having medical issues too. RonB

Boondocked overnight next to another LD last August outside Chicken Alaska, never met the owners.

Ran into a dozen Lazy Daze on the way to and in Alaska in my four months last year.

Suspect much fewer going east this year.

We were surprised to see so few LDs on our trip this fall through winter but it must be the timing?

Hi Liam;  Back east (for me almost that's most of the US) many motorhomes and trailers are stored away, or parked at home. Bad weather, short days, poor road conditions in the winter months, keep them off the road. But Spring has sprung and in March and April many motorhomes including Lazy Dazes are out.  Living in southern California driving my autos, I rarely see Lazy Dazes, there just aren't that many of them. On Caravan Club days of travel I might see one, usually on the highways that lead to places the Club goes to.  (I-15)
When is the last time you saw a Born Free on the road. From Humboldt Ohio, even though they were sold nationally, I suspect most were sold around what others call the 'Midwest'.
Going by ID numbers on the little tag, I think that less than 6000 total were ever made. I think there might be less than two thousand left. Rare as 'hens teeth'.  My tag didn't stand up to the weather as well as the pinstriping, you can see the number as 3655. It did a good job at protecting the paint, so it is a little shinier where the tag used to be. I tried to get a new one from Steve, but he resisted that idea.  RonB

edit:  the model was 23.5 TB,  and the year mfd. was 2000.  but on a 1999 chassis, one of the last two '99 E350. Plan # was 'XXX'd out. Kent had more X's. They all say

As Ron said, the LD Coach ID can suffer from the effects of weather. Per his suggestion, I snapped a picture with my iPhone.

There are companies out there that will print images on stickers so it may be advisable to contact one and provide them with the needed image for a reprint.

Here’s my sticker’s iPhone image for our 2015 LD.

My 2017 is #5615, only 42 more than Kent’s #5573.

Of course mine might have been an early 2017, with Kent’s being a late 2015.

Regardless, very low volume.

Ron, you’re saying that the serial no. on the tag is a sequential production number? If so, I never realized that!

Dave, guess I’m only three after you if that’s the case. My serial number is 5618.
