Re: Jensen tv continued Reply #25 – February 27, 2024, 03:07:20 pm When you start the RV there should be 12 volts DC across terminals 85 & 86. I suspect that that the normally closed relay contact is faulty. To test this out, connect wires 30 & 87A together and see if you have power to the TV (don't forget to turn on the "TV POWER" switch.Kendall 2 Likes

You now have 2 options:1) You can replace the relay Relay and the TV will not operate when the RV ignition is on.2) Cut the crimp terminal off of wires 30 & 87A, strip them and wire nut them together which will bypass the relay allowing the TV to be turned on at anytime.Kendall 1 Likes As an Amazon Associate Lazy Daze Owners' Group earns from qualifying purchases.
Re: Jensen tv continued Reply #27 – February 27, 2024, 05:07:35 pm Awesome response, Kendall. Thank you for your time and expertise. I found a new relay on Amazon and ordered it yesterday. Delivery date is scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday). I’m planning on trying option 1 by replacing the relay. Then, if I decide to try option 2 and have the ability to use the tv while running the Rv, I will have the information to do that (thanks to you). I’ll let you know what happens after I install the new relay. Be well. Dale from Downey.
Re: Jensen tv continued Reply #28 – February 27, 2024, 05:27:27 pm Dale,If the new relay doesn't fix it then you may have a power problem before the relay (connecting wires 30 & and 87A will not help). According to Lazy Bones schematic, DC power is supplied to both the TV & amplifier thru the normally closed relay contact and then the "TV Power" switch. If one has power they should both have power. So if your amplifier is on but your TV does not power up then your TV could be bad.Kendall 1 Likes
Re: Jensen TV Reply #29 – March 01, 2024, 04:42:18 pm Latest news on tv problem(s): a new relay has been installed and still no power to the power switch for the tv. The amplifier green light does come on and goes off, however, when I flip the switch. The fuse link behind the tv has no power either and that fuse is testing good. But, when I test for continuity between the fuse contacts, there is none. So, no power to the tv from the relay from blade 87a on a new relay. It’s not the tv as I plugged in another known good tv to the power plug and it didn’t work. Of course, why would it if there isn’t any power good power supply going into it?Dale from Downey.

Do you have a DC voltmeter and if so at what points are you measuring? If you are getting power to the amplifier then the relay and the "TV Power" switch are working. If the TV indeed does not have power then there may be a loose wire connection from the "TV POWER" switch to the TV or a loose ground connection wire (trace out the wires starting at the TV).3) Can you post a picture of the fuse location and power connection on the back of the TV?4) Does your DC outlet work when you switch on the "12V OUTLET" switch? According to Lazy Bones schematic this also gets power through the relay contacts.Kendall
Re: Jensen TV Reply #31 – March 01, 2024, 06:59:05 pm 1) yes, checking with fuse removed. Nothing. 2)yes, using a voltmeter. I measured at the switch and at the fuse link behind the tv. 4) Yes, the power works to the DC cigar lighter outlet. But, it’s not powered through the relay. It has power without the relay being installed. 3) I will send a picture of the back of the tv.
