New England - 30IB to 26.5 MidBath? Want to hang out?
Oh boy!! Not sure I even want to go down this road but here we go!!!

I have a 30IB which I absolutely love! Thinking about renovating the inside which is a LOT of time and expense.

Have been considering if its just a bit too big for me and if I would like the MB better. So before I take the reno leap.... I would like to spend some time hanging out in  a MB to see how it feels just in case i want to search for a MB to buy before I start a remodel on my current unit.

So - if anyone is in New England that wants to hang out with me for a few hours and talk Lazy Daze and has a mid bath we can hang out with - can I invite myself over? lol! No seriously!! I will bring lunch!!

I am currently in Lebanon New Hampshire but willing to drive a few hours any direction if we could make this happen.

Thanks LD family!!

My 2004 30IB is in CA, a fur piece from you. But then you well know what the interior looks like, so sorry I can't help in that regard.

Curious to know however as to why and how you wish to "renovate" your rig?

There are a number of members in New England, according to the Member Map, you could reach out to them.

Thanks Dave! Totally forgot about the map. I am going to reach out!

Hi Steve - The walls and ceiling are getting a yellow hue even with washing. The 23 year old carpet is pretty gross and I want a floor thats easier to clean. I changed out some of the lights from florescent to led's but want to finish that project - etc. I would really like to keep the wood grain cabinets but I think freshening up the rest will make it feel great!

Jodi-

I no longer have the MB (mid-bath), but I live about a half-hour from Lebanon, NH, and am willing to talk about all things LD- either by phone or in-person. I have lots of pictures, too. Feel free to let me know if you want to take me up on that offer.

I made many modifications to the MB, although carpeting/flooring was not on of those. I also modified lots of stuff on the Class A, including flooring. Between the two coaches I may be able to answer some of your questions.

Having driven a mid-bath and a 31-foot Class A, I can guess that there's not a large difference in driving experience between your IB and the MB.

You give up with IB's separate bedroom by switching to the MB. One of the reasons my wife and I sold the MB was so we didn't have to make-and-unmake the couches every day. I realize there are strategies to get around that. We were on the trail to buying a 31-foot LD twin-bed for this reason, before we came across the Class A.

In any case, I stand ready to help, somewhat less-effectively-so than if I still owned an MB.

Congratz :  :  Welcome to the family!  If you are up for a drive we are in Knoxville Tn. Great Smokies at our door step and this a great time of year in the mtns. If you come this way we might join you on a trip for a few days and show you the area or if you would just like to use us as a home base for area days. Whatever! Enjoy yourself.
