FYI/Public Service Announcement: Dually Rock removal May 15, 2021, 06:08:08 pm Do you ever drive on dirt roads with large rocks? I do occasionally. A few years ago, I took a short dirt road drive to get to a slot canyon hike in Death Valley. On the way out, I noticed a distinct “clunk-clunk” sound when I returned to the paved road: it was a large rock stuck between my right side dually tires. Only after 30 minutes of struggling did the rock release itself. Upon arrival back home, I found this video which shows an ingenious trick to remove these dually rocks with just a nylon tow strap. I now carry one just in case it happens again. If you ever go near dirt roads with rocks, I highly recommend investing $20 for a tow strap. Here’s the video:https://youtu.be/4U8GAn0XtdM 8 Likes

The tow strap is so much easier, but you have to have one on hand😄
Re: FYI/Public Service Announcement: Dually Rock removal Reply #3 – May 15, 2021, 07:36:49 pm Wow, the tow strap solution is brilliant. I actually had this happen to me one time, and thankfully, my honey and Andy were right behind me. We positioned the rock just right and used a hammer to move it downwards and out from between the duallies. I actually carry a tow strap in my Jeep, but we didn't know about this solution back then! 3 Likes
